Description
Pre-forming binding before gluing makes life easier when you come to those sharp bends. You could just tape the binding in place on the actual body, but that wastes tape and still doesn't hold as tight as you'd like.
With this jig you just press the binding into the slot to get a perfect fit. You can use a hair dryer to heat the binding for tight curves. The slot is milled to accept up to 0.09" thick binding.

Get around the horn
I did my first build with a binding. It was nice to be able to accurately bend my binding to shape with the template so I wasn't fighting it during glue up.

I ordered one of these after getting a flood damaged Les Paul in my shop that had melted binding from an amateur finish stripping job. This jig worked perfectly and in no time at all, after some careful heat gun use, I had a perfectly shaped piece of binding that was easy to place and glue down. Mike makes awesome stuff!
