Mandocaster
The Manodcaster is an electric mandolin with a 13.78" scale length. Both 4 and 8 string neck templates are included. You can build either solid body or a chambered body with an f-hole (all included).
Hardware
The Mandocaster is a bit of an oddball model and therefore hardware is not as commonly available for it as its 6 string big brothers. Here are some tips:
Pickup: You could use a a standard 6 string pickup and just use the 4 middle poles, but the templates are routed for a 4 string pickup available from www.sjryder.com
Bridge: The templates are drilled for a sample 4 string bridge commonly available on eBay and other online resources. These bridges vary widely so be sure to test the hole pattern and intonation placement carefully before drilling!
Neck Plate: a 4 hole pattern is drilled in case you want to create your own neck plate. You can also choose to drill a different hole pattern and use mounting ferrules instead of a neck plate.
