V-Style '58 Template Set

I'm a Master Luthier in a small but VERY busy shop. Custom builds are my bread & Butter. I've been a customer of Mike Potvin for years now and the quality of his templates are second to none. Great Templates! I used it as a jumping off point for a highly customized commission. Great tool for the trade!

Excellent template and angle wedges as well. The centre line grooves helped a lot and I’ll be getting more templates from Mike. Great products. Suggestion, buy your string plate before drilling string throughs. I measured the template and it was perfect but the aftermarket plates never seem to be perfectly distanced.

Excellent template. Would be great if the body wasn’t joined out of two pieces but that is really just a detail. The only thing I would possibly add is a template for the headstock joints. If I am not mistaken the wings glued into the headstock are also glued on an angle.

Mike, What can I say? You are my go to guy for guitar templates now. The workmanship is just superb! I seal coat all of the pieces and they will last a lifetime. Keep doing what you do!

Mike is a top notch guitar maker. This is his craft. It's because of this that he knows how important it is to have quality templates to make hand made instruments. The critical portion of building ANY guitar is the template that you begin the process with. The stuff that Mike produces is the MOST accurate, most durable and best performing templates that I have used in all of my years of building guitars - I don;t make my own templates any longer - Mike does them for us - including our own custom designed Tele. You just can not beat them!
